You should look for a product that you personally enjoy because you will be much more convincing to a prospect if you truly believe in what your selling. The product is also something that you should use on a regular basis, not as an obligation but as something you feel benefits you.
mlm products range from beverages to phone plans and everything in between. A good product should obviously be of quality, but most importantly you should look for a product that is consumable. The reason for this is, if the product is consumable then repeat orders should continue to roll in.
For consumables such as health drinks, you should look at the price and serving size for comparison. Most of these drinks will be of good quality and will be as healthy or healthier for you to drink than just about anything you can find at a supermarket. Why is price and serving size important? well, price is important because most network marketing companies struggle to compete with drinks for average consumers because the price is too high. A good company will keep price points in mind and will strive to be competitive to the average consumer. The serving size is important because the average consumer wants to have a good size beverage in their hand and drink it over a period of time. This might be more of an opinion on my part, but I really do not understand why the average consumer would buy a product that comes in a single bottle about the size of a wine bottle with the serving size of a teaspoon. Those products might have amazing ingredients, but a teaspoon! Especially with the high price that they carry. It is my belief that if you want to demonstrate a product it better be a serving size of a normal size beverage.
Being demonstrable is always a bonus, look for something that has a "wow" factor, something different. The healthy beverage industry is laced with similar items but if you hard enough you can find the right one.
Follow the 3 P's and I promise you will find a great company that fits your needs. Your going to come across opportunities that might have a great product but a horrible business plan and vise versa. If you join one of them you are settling, do not settle for mediocre, strive to find the best company you can. That includes the People, the Plan, and the Product.
